This First Aid & CPR class seeks to empower pet owners and animal care personnel to recognise and respond to common emergencies until the pet can be evaluated by a veterinarian.
Topics covered include:
- Recognising and assessing a Pet for injuries and common medical emergencies
- First aid for Heat stroke, Bleeding and Wounds, Seizures, Ticks & Snakes
- Preparing a Pet First Aid Kit
- Basic cardiopulmonary life support (BLS) certification in partnership with RECOVER
Community-based First Aid classes can be arranged and a private training session run for your organisation.

At this point, Dr Nats will register you onto an Online course delivered by RECOVER.
You will soon be sent a link to their Online Learning Component which gives you plenty of information and knowledge on how to assist the Pet in an event needing CPR.

Once you have mastered the basics, we offer the in-person training classes to learn practical aspects of Pet CPR. This is a great way to work with other participants in an interactive and enjoyable session.
